Giving Back: Yo Gotti and Anfernee Hardaway Bring Holiday Joy to Memphis

Memphis natives Yo Gotti and Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway brought gifts and a ton of fun to their hometown last week with a holiday celebration for the community. The third annual Christmas Carnival was held at Yo Gotti’s restaurant Privé, and the private event attracted over 300 children from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Memphis and winners of a wish list radio contest with Hot 107.1 FM, while another 100+ people from the community gathered outside.

Attendees had a chance to meet and greet the platinum-selling Hip Hop star and former NBA player, and there were real reindeer, a train ride and more entertainment throughout the day.

“My first goal was just to reach out to the kids in the community,” Yo Gotti told reporter Nicole R. Harris of WMC Action News. “To me it’s bigger than the toys, it’s the spirit that you should get from a family.” Take a look at some of the photos, and watch the interview from Ms. Harris below.
