He’s baaaa-aaack! With Terminator: Genisys, Arnold Schwarzenegger is returning Summer 2015 in the fifth film in the franchise’s 30-year run. This time around, the characters are refreshed with Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke taking on the role of Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as John Connor, and Jai Courtney (Divergent, Unbroken) as Kyle Reese.
In Genisys, Kyle Reese is sent back in time by John Connor to rescue his mother, Sarah. Schwarzenegger, the original terminator, now plays a “daddy” terminator to Sarah Connor, sworn to protect her and teach her about her destiny.
Other cast members include Courtney B. Vance (State of Affairs, Law & Order: Criminal Intent), Teri Wyble (whom we saw throw down as Officer Shepherd in The Walking Dead this season), J.K. Simmons (Oz, The Closer), and Matt Smith (Doctor Who).
