The NFL lockout is causing a big stir, with both the organization and tons of football fans wanting a resolution soon. With the possibility that the lockout could continue as the 2011 season approaches, a few players are searching for options of what to do.
Leave it the Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Chad Ochocinco to devise a plan for himself. Last week, Ochocinco secured a four-day tryout with the Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer.
The career move may not be so far fetched for the talented baller, since he uses a soccer ball to warm up during practices and for games. He also used to play soccer, and attributes his fast feet in football to the skills he learned on the futbol field.
Ochocinco is a very valuable asset to the Bengals, which may leave many wondering why he would take a chance of receiving injuries playing another sport. In the 2010 season, the 33-year-old scored four touched downs, 67 receptions and averaged 12.4 per game.
So should Chad Ochocinco take a chance at Major League Soccer, or have faith that the 2011 NFL season will happen? Some critics seem to be skeptical, but what do you think? Cast your vote now!
