Springtime is upon us finally, and that brings long sunny days, the shedding of our extra layers of clothes and a little warm weather eye candy. What progressive professional given the choice wouldn’t want to take the office outdoors? We’ve found a few items that prove you can be just as productive on the road as in the cubicle!
Your probably already know that the first must-have is a smart phone. Aside from getting all your calls, you have to be able to keep your emails at your fingertips. Who knows when that ‘oh so important deal’ may come through?
Luckily there are tons of options; one of which is the Windows-based HD2 (pictured above). It has a 4.3 inch widescreen display that makes document and web page viewing on the go real easy on the eyes. And when you need to take a little break, it’s great for watching your favorite videos and movies! Click here to view the full specs on HTC.com.
Wi-fi enabled devices such as mp3 players, cameras and e-readers are great and all, but pointless when there’s no wi-fi available. The Mifi is a credit card-sized personal wi-fi hot spot that’s powerful enough to be connected to up to five devices at once. It’s available from both Verizon Wireless and Sprint.
With all of these gadgets and all this “hard work” in the park, you’re bound to need charge at some point. V-Dimension has a solar-powered series of bags, backpacks and adapters that can charge just about any mobile devices on the go. Click here to find out more about them!
If you require more computing power than what a smart phone can provide, then a laptop is the way to go. And since we’re talking mobile, the thinner and the lighter the better. The Intel Mobile Metro, just slightly thicker than the Motorola Razr, is the thinnest laptop in the world.
The carrying case is available in a few fashionable shades, hot enough to make playing hooky look good! Click here to see more photos.
Printing from your mobile office is a breeze as well. Drop in to any Fed-Ex office location with your thumb drive or memory card, and have it printed while you wait. If you’re not the patient type, you can simply email your files to Fed-Ex and have it waiting for you when you arrive. Find out more about the services on their site at FedEx.com!
As far as I can tell, with all these mobile options, unless you need face-time with your co-workers, there’s no reason not to be productive while sunbathing during the work week!
