If you’re anything like me, you’re always on the lookout for the next smart phone that can help you keep more business in your pocket, but still add in a little fun. I’m a loyal T-Mobile customer (although I enjoyed AT&T for many years as well!) and the new Samsung Vibrant caught my eye, mainly because it comes already loaded with a full HD version of Avatar.
But should I buy a phone for a movie?? I think not! Even though my guilty pleasure (on both my G1 and Blackberry) is video games, I still need some apps that make my business run smoothly throughout the day. So let’s get down to the nuts and bolts on the Vibrant, and see what it can do! Here is a little run down from T-Mobile:
The Samsung Vibrant, a Samsung Galaxy S device available exclusively from T-Mobile, comes outfitted with robust entertainment and multimedia features, along with a 4-inch high-resolution touch screen to give customers a bold and vivid mobile experience. With access to Android Market and pre-loaded content and applications, such as James Cameron’s Avatar, a special collector’s edition of “The Sims 3” and Amazon Kindle for Android application, the Samsung Vibrant ensures games, movies, books, music, social networks and the Web are always within reach.
Packaged in a slim and sleek form factor, powered by T-Mobile’s high-speed network and equipped with a super-fast Samsung 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor and 6-axis sensor, the Samsung Vibrant is optimized for a fast, mobile media and gaming experience. The 5-megapixel camera with digital zoom and autofocus and the high-definition camcorder captures crystal-clear, vibrant videos and pictures for playback on an HD television.
Wow! Here are the technical bullet points on what you get with the Vibrant:
