Well, we’re two days late and a dollar short posting this trailer, but it’s just never a bad time to share Marvel anything! This is the first official teaser for Avengers: Age of Ultron, which will hit theaters in May 2015.
This time around it’s all about Tony Stark (we always need more Iron Man!) trying to relaunch a peacekeeping program, but of course that all goes to hell as Ultron (voiced by the awesomeness of James Spader) rallies for total destruction. And yes, he goes H(ard) A(s) a M(uthaf*cker) on the Avengers team!
James Spader will be an excellent addition to the cast, and it appears that he is taking delight in his villainous role, per his conversation with Total Film:
“There’s a humorous aspect to him, which is something that drew me in from the very first conversation I had with Joss [Whedon],” Spader revealed. “In many ways he’s a child, this character, because he’s a brand new being who’s just come to be. And yet, through artificial intelligence, he has an incredible capacity for knowledge. So he’s a very powerful, smart child.“
It’s also pretty exciting that Elizabeth Olsen will appear as Scarlet Witch – she’s really showed off her acting prowess in the past few years, so I’m looking forward to seeing her in some ass kicking action.
Let’s face it, Marvel is going to keep coming bigger and better with these films, and we are ready for it! Watch the trailer and enjoy!
