If you’re a fan of the Capcom Resident Evil film and video game franchise, then get ready for action when Resident Evil: Afterlife hits theaters on September 10 via Sony/Screen Gems! This will be in IMAX 3D (thank goodness!) and will feature the video game character Chris Redfield for the very first time in the film series.
The tagline: She’s back, and she’s bringing a few of her friends.
Of course Milla Jovovich is the “she” who is back as the kick-ass zombie fighter Alice, and her “friends” are Prison Break‘s Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield, Heroes‘ Ali Larter as Claire Redfield (who also appeared in Resident Evil: Extinction), and Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine (who appeared in Resident Evil: Apocalypse).
Other cast members include Boris Kodjoe (Surrogates), Spencer Locke (Cougar Town), Shawn Roberts (Edge of Darkness) and Kim Coates (Silent Hill, Sinners & Saints).
The plot will pick up different storylines from the video games, including Claire Redfield‘s search for her brother Chris in Resident Evil Code: Veronica (2000) and elements of Resident Evil 5 (2009).
Will you be hitting the theaters for this one? You’ll definitely see me there!!
