The Resident Trailer: Hilary Swank Has a Stalker!

Hilary Swank stars as a doctor on her own in Brooklyn in The Resident. Jeffrey Dean Morgan co-stars as her stalker landlord, and from watching the trailer, the plot seems to play out like you think it might. Or maybe similar to what you’ve seen in other “woman lives alone” movies like Juliette Lewis’s 1999 flick The 4th Floor…

Other actors in the film include Lee Pace (The Good Shepherd, Pushing Daisies), Michael Masee (Flash Forward, Carnivale), Aunjanue Ellis (The Mentalist, True Blood, The Taking of Pelham 123) and veteran actor Christopher Lee (Lord of the Rings movies).

Apparently The Resident won’t even get a theatrical release in the U.S…. at least not a wide release. It will be in theaters in the U.K. on March 11, and Americans will be able to find it on DVD on March 29.

I don’t care what anyone says, I’ll be looking for this one on cable! And I’ll watch it alone, in the dark, in my Harlem apartment. She is in Brooklyn, after all. (I kid, I kid!)
