Texas Hip Hop icon Bun B has joined with Boost Mobile to host a massive food drive for his local Houston Food Bank, with a free concert on December 18! Fans who donate five or more cans will get a free pair of tickets for the show, which takes place at Warehouse Live (813 Saint Emmanuel Street, Houston).
Over the past 10 days, various Boost Mobile locations have served as drop-off points for the non-perishable donations. Bun B expressed his joy in being able to reach those in need for this second annual event.
“Once again at this time of year, when so many are without the basic necessities of life, Boost Mobile and 2 Trill Entertainment are more than happy to recommit themselves to helping the Houston community,” he said in a recent press statement.
Boost Mobile’s local marketing manager Maurice Elrod echoed the sentiment. “Boost Mobile believes in the positive power of music. Partnering with Bun B to is a great way to encourage the Houston community to give back this holiday season. We are confident we will provide the Houston Food Bank a large contribution of canned goods.”
Last year, Bun B and Boost Mobile were able to gather over 7,000 cans of food to distribute throughout Houston. Hopefully this year will bring even more support from the community!
